Points
Two things earn points here: holding a piece, and trading one. Holding pays more the longer you keep it. Trading pays most on your first ZEC of volume and less as your total grows. Both accrue continuously — there are no seasons and nothing resets.
Holding×1 rising to ×3
Every unlisted piece earns a point a day, multiplied by how long you have held it without selling or moving it. Selling or transferring starts that piece again at the bottom. A piece listed for sale earns nothing while the listing is up — take the listing down and it earns again, with every day it has been yours still counted.
Trading10 a ZEC, falling to 0.5
Both sides of a sale earn, each at their own rate. The rate is set by your lifetime volume, so it falls as you trade more — and trading with the same wallet again pays half, then nothing.
Maybe one day these should count for something...
Challenges
Six ranks, named after the upgrades Zcash grew through. You climb them by earning points at the rates above — and, when they are running, by finishing timed tasks worth points on top.
Every challenge is a stop on the board. They open one at a time, and your character moves up as each one is finished.
First challenge is coming
Points are a record of activity. They are not an obligation and do not guarantee any distribution. The board above is the plan, not a schedule. A rank marks progress and pays nothing of its own. Points are counted per wallet rather than per address, but only across the addresses that wallet has actually connected: a piece sitting on an address it has never connected with earns nothing until it does.
